5 Halloween Survival Tips

  1. Prep & Plan – Be sure to prep all your food for Halloween day. Staying on track will be easier if your food is ready and waiting. When you’re hungry, you’re more apt to grab something unhealthy, so don’t skip any meals and fill up on lots of water!
  2. Workout – Don’t skip it! Plan to workout in the morning, especially if you have kids. It will be a busy day/night and your regular workout will start you off with a healthy mindset.
  3. Candy Choices – It’s not always all about the kids! Buy candy you don’t like so you won’t be tempted. Trust me, the neighborhood kids will survive with a little candy mediocrity.
  4. Think It Over – What temptations will you face? What will you do? If you think you will cave – find healthier treats to replace those that haunt (and taunt) you.
  5. Party On & Drink Up – Heading to a ghoulish gathering? Fill up with healthy food before the party so you won’t overeat when you get there. Drink a lot (of water)!
