21 Day Fix Approved Spices

When you’re thinking about eating healthy you might think that your meals will be boring or bland. It’s just not true. Yes, you should eliminate many packaged or bottled spices and sauces but that doesn’t mean you need to sacrifice on flavor. Whether you’re cleaning up your nutrition or following a plan like the 21 Day Fix you need to avoid certain things. Packaged mixed spices that you can buy are often loaded with sodium which you should avoid. Instead, make your own.
Here’s a few spices that won’t let you ruin your nutrition but won’t let you down in flavor either.
(*t=teaspoon T=tablespoon)
ALL-PURPOSE SEASONING
4 t onion powder
2 t garlic powder
2 t mustard powder
1/4 t dried thyme
1/4 t ground black pepper
1 t sea salt or Himalayan salt
SOUTHWESTERN
1 T chili powder
2 t ground cumin
1 t coriander
1/2 t onion powder
1/2 t garlic powder
1/2 t dried oregano
1/2 t paprika
1 t sea salt or Himalayan
BBQ SEASONING
3 tsp smoked paprika
1 tsp sea salt
1 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp ground mustard
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp ground sage
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp allspice
1/4 tsp nutmeg
RANCH SEASONING
1 t garlic powder
1 t onion powder
1 t sea salt
1/2 t pepper
1/2 t parsley
1/2 t dill
PUMPKIN PIE SEASONING
1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
1 tsp. ground cloves
2 tsp. ground ginger
4 tsp. ground cinnamon
